Pommard Les Vignots

Pommard · 125.99 ares · First vintage 1988
The largest holding in the Côte de Beaune and one of the parcels the family already owned when the domaine was formed. Les Vignots lies high on the slope above the premier cru band, on thin stony soil that drains freely and holds little water, which makes it a cool site and a late ripener. In the warm vintages of the past two decades that has told steadily in its favour, and the wine has a habit of overachieving against its classification.
