Premier Cru
Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Boudots

Nuits-Saint-Georges · 119.68 ares · First vintage 1988
Aux Boudots is the northernmost premier cru of Nuits, adjoining Aux Malconsorts across the commune boundary, and the slope runs on unbroken from one into the other. That continuity is why the wine is so often read in Vosne terms rather than in those of its own commune, though the soils here are deeper and more ferrous than in Vosne and the wine carries more flesh as a result. The vines are very old, which is the other half of the explanation. This is the largest premier cru holding in the domaine after Les Beaux Monts, and all of Charles Noëllat's Nuits vineyards lay in this northern sector, on the Vosne side of the town.
