Grand Cru
Corton Renardes

Aloxe-Corton · 50.14 ares
Les Renardes occupies the upper eastern flank of the Corton hill within Aloxe, where the marl runs red with iron over limestone. It is one of the lieux-dits entitled to the Corton appellation for red wine, and traditionally among the most tannic and the slowest-maturing of them, holding on to a wild edge even in the ripest years. Corton is the only red grand cru of the Côte de Beaune, and this is the domaine's only red holding south of Nuits. It is the wine that opens the domaine's tastings each year, considered a point of reference.
