CRITICAL RECEPTION
What the critics have been watching
Seven vintages in bottle now, and the critics have moved from watching to admiring. Allen Meadows saw the promise in the 2018 debut and has followed the wines ever since. Neal Martin and Steen Ohman came to them later, and along the way the language has shifted, from what the domaine might one day become to what it already is.

Across the seven vintages now in bottle, the trajectory of their reception has only sharpened.
An exciting new arrival on the scene in the Côte de Beaune… backed by the Pernot inheritance, they have an enviable canvas of appellations on which to realise it. I will be following their evolution with interest.
William Kelley · Wine Advocate · 2018 vintage
While it’s true that this new entry into the Puligny wine scene enjoys the inestimable benefits of having access to superb raw materials, Alvina and Philippe appear to already be making the most of it.
Allen Meadows · Burghound · 2018 vintage
Two years on, with the first cuvées now harvested and pressed in-house at the new winery, Kelley tasted them and pointed to what the range might still become:
Within the Pernot holdings, Alvina and her husband favour earlier-picked fruit and higher-altitude parcels, but it’s these cuvées that are harvested and pressed in-house that really give the measure of what we can expect in the years to come.

By 2022, the recognition had become unanimous, and the language used had moved from promise to acclaim.
The quality only continues to increase at this address and a number of these 2022s are stunningly good and highly recommended.
Allen Meadows · Burghound · 2022 vintage
Alvina Pernot is going from strength to strength with a strong portfolio built around seven Puligny Premier Crus. These are precise and characterful, each respectful to their terroir.
Neal Martin · Vinous · 2023 vintage
Alvina Pernot and her husband Philippe are currently producing some of the best new whites in Burgundy.
Steen Ohman · Winehog · 2024 vintage
